Theater Of War: Spouse & Family Program
The Theater of War Spouse & Family program features scenes from an extended version of Sophocles' Ajax to promote additional dialogue about the impact of deployment and reintegration on the families of service members. The extended text includes rich, resonant passages that address the psychological challenges and rewards that family members experience, as well as their resilience and transition into civilian society following deployment.

•	This version of Ajax continues beyond Ajax' decision to take his own life, and vividly depicts the impact of his suicide upon his wife, son, half-brother, and troops, as well as the strain his death places upon leadership within the Greek army.
